Applicant cannot renew earlier than 120 days prior to license expiration date.
Partial renewals are not allowed. Licensees must renew all active lines that they are still qualified for.
Applicants will be allowed to late renew electronically if the license is less than 30 days past expiration date and the line of authority has a status reason of expired.
Licenses expire the last day of the month in the licensee's birth month in the first year after issuance in which licensee's age is divisible by two (2). Therefore, individual's born in even numbered years renew their license on their birthday in the even numbered years and individuals born in odd numbered years renew their license on their birthday in the odd numbered years.
All renewals for the Managing General Agent license must provide proof of surety bond to Nebraska Department of Insurance.
All renewals for the Utilization Review Agent licenses must provide proof of approval or accreditation by URAC or NCQUA to the Nebraska Department of Insurance.
All renewals for Consultant-Individual license class require a history of 3 years licensed as a insurance producer with Life & Health or Property & Casualty LOA in Nebraska or another state.
Surplus Lines renewal applicants must hold an active Surplus Lines license in their resident state.
Applicant renewals for the Navigator license must pass federal administered exam and provide certificate of proof and notify the state of the entity navigator with which he or she is affiliated and supervised. Please fax documents to the state.
If applicant responds "yes" to one of the background questions please submit supporting documents electronically via NIPR's Attachments Warehouse. The documents may also be submitted to the state via mail, email, or fax.
