  • $39 Fingerprinting fee. This fee is charged in addition to the appropriate licensing fee listed above and applies to all initial applications for Resident Producer, Resident Producer Limited Lines, Resident Adjuster, and Resident Specialty Limited Lines Producer classes.
  • Applicants can amend licenses within their current groupings free of charge, but will be charged ($100) if adding an LOA outside of groupings they already hold.

Business Rules

  • Applicant must be at least eighteen (18) years old or older as determined from the applicant's date of birth.

  • Non-citizens of the U.S. must have a resident license for selling insurance in one of the fifty (50) U.S. states.

  • Applicant must provide a valid business/residence phone number and both business and personal email addresses.

  • Applicants for the variable line of authority (LOA) must supply FINRA CRD number on application.

  • Applicant may not amend if within 90-day renewal period.
  • A Producer licensed with a Casualty LOA may sell travel without a separate license or qualification.

  • Applicant may not apply for an Adjuster Crop line of authority if they are applying for or actively hold an Adjuster Property line of authority.
  • Applicants applying for Adjuster Property should actively hold or apply for Adjuster Casualty simultaneously.
  • Applicant may not apply for an Adjuster Crop if applying for or actively hold an Adjuster Property line of authority.

  • Applicants applying for Adjuster Property should actively hold or apply for Adjuster Casualty simultaneously.

  • Resident Surplus Lines Broker applicants must first actively hold both single lines of  Producer Property and Casualty in Wyoming.

  • Resident Surplus Lines Broker applicants must include a $10,000 Surplus Lines bond issued on the required Surplus Lines bond form with the state of Wyoming as obligee. The form may be found on the state website.

  • If applicant responds "yes" to one of the background questions please submit supporting documents electronically via NIPR's Attachments Warehouse. The documents may also be submitted to the state via email at: insurancelicensing@wyo.gov.

  • One Year

 

  • Pursuant to W.S. § 26-9-207(f) the Department must be notified of an address change within (30) days of the change. Address, phone and e-mail updates must be completed online using NIPR or Sircon.
  • Address or name changes are not processed with the renewal applications.

  • Changes to the DRLP may be submitted online using Sircon.
  • Other affiliations are not accepted.

  • All updates to Partners, Officers, Directors, and Managers may be submitted by email to insurancelicensing@wyo.gov on company letterhead.

  • Nonresidents moving to Wyoming must establish legal residence, submit application, fees, and a letter of clearance from the prior resident state within 90 days.
  • Nonresidents moving from one state to another state must report the new resident state and contact information by submitting the Address Change Request Form by email to insurancelicensing@wyo.gov
  • Nonresident adjusters moving to a state that licenses adjusters must:
    • Become licensed as a resident in the new resident state
    • Report new resident state and contact information to the Department by submitting the Address Change Request Form by email to insurancelicensing@wyo.gov
