Licenses with status reason of canceled for cause, revoked, and suspended cannot reinstate.
Licenses with failure to renew status reason can reinstate through Resident License Renewal (RLR) Application with a penalty fee if within two (2) to three hundred and sixty-five (365) days after expiration. After three hundred and sixty-five (365) days applicants must reapply through NIPR's Resident License (RL) Application.
Surplus lines insurance producer license must already hold an active insurance producer with line of authority (LOA) property, casualty, and/or personal lines.
At least one (1) Designated Responsible Licensed Producer (DRLP) must be provided on the application. This excludes portable electronics entity.
The DRLP listed on the application must have an active Mississippi license on PDB. This excludes portable electronics entity and business entity adjuster.
Business entity adjuster applicants must provide a DRLP that is actively licensed in Mississippi as an adjuster.
If applicant responds "yes" to one of the background questions please submit supporting documents electronically via NIPR's Attachments Warehouse. The documents may also be submitted to the state via mail, email, or fax.
Eligible license classes may reinstate their licenses within two (2) to three hundred and sixty-five (365) days from previous expiration date upon payment of license fee and fifty percent (50%) penalty fee.
