Surplus lines applicants must already hold at least one (1) active Property and Casualty appointment in Mississippi.

If applicant responds "yes" to one of the background questions please submit supporting documents electronically via NIPR's Attachments Warehouse. The documents may also be submitted to the state via mail, email, or fax.

Licenses with a status reason of “failure to renew” can reinstate through Non-Resident License Renewal (NRR) Application with a penalty fee up to one year after expiration. One year applicants must reapply through NIPR's Non-Resident License (NRL) Application
- Eligible license classes may reinstate their licenses up to one year following license expiration date upon payment of license fee and fifty percent (50%) penalty fee
