If you have already submitted an application, please contact the Insurance Producer Licensing Unit of the Maryland Insurance Administration.
Please do not submit duplicate applications.

This announcement applies to all producers who intend to change their resident state. Before submitting an application, please read the Maryland Insurance Administration's frequently asked questions at Submitting an unnecessary application will result in a delay to change your resident state.

Renewal Period

Public Adjuster Ninety (90) days prior to license expiration date Expiration date One (1) year after expiration date

If applicant's status is cancelled and it has been ninety (90) days or more since expiration date, applicant must use NIPR's Non-Resident Adjuster License Application to reinstate.

License Printing

To print your license, click the state on NIPR's Producer Licensing Map.

Business Rules

Applicant must have a renewable non-resident license in Maryland. If license is revoked or suspended, renewal is not allowed. Applicant must contact the state.

Maryland allows electronic reinstatements if the applicant's Maryland license has been expired more than one (1) year and one (1) day. Reinstatements are processed through NIPR's Non-Resident Adjuster License Application.
