Resident third party administrators can late renew from January 1st to January 31st biennially.
Beginning February 1st after late renewal period, if resident third party administrator (PDB code 5213) is past license expiration date, they must reapply through resident License (RL) Application.
At least one (1) Designated Responsible Licensed Producer (DRLP) must be provided on the application and have an active license in Idaho. Exceptions include: adjusters, resident third party administrator and portable electronic applications.
DRLPs must cumulatively cover all lines of authority (LOAs) requested on the application at the time the application is submitted. Exceptions include: adjusters, third party administrators and portable electronics applications.
Title agents and managing general agency must submit a paper application to renew their license.
Applicants renewing life settlement broker or life settlement provider must have active producer license with life LOA.
If a business entity has ten (10) or fewer locations, they must choose the small portable electronics vendor LOA on the renewal application.
If a business entity has eleven (11) or more locations, they must choose the large portable electronics vendor LOA on the renewal application.
All applications for resident third party administrator will defer to the state. If licensed as resident administrator of self-funded health plans the renewal applicant must provide the following to Idaho Department of Insurance:
- Provide proof that the bond reflects ten percent (10%) of the prior year's total dollar amount of funds handled,
- or premiums collected for Idaho.
