Applicant may apply for reinstatement (late renewal) through Non-Resident Renewal (NRR) Application for up to one (1) year past license expiration as long as their license is inactive with an LOA status reason of failure to renew- Reinstateable.
Applicant cannot apply earlier than 90 days prior to license expiration date.
All active lines of authority (LOAs) for a license class will renew simultaneously. No partial renewals will be accepted.
Applicants with an inactive non-resident license and status reason of anything other than Failure to Renew - Reinstateable cannot renew via the NRR application. Applicant should be directed to the NRL application.
All applicants with an inactive non-resident license and status reason of Voluntary Surrender cannot renew via NRR. Applicant must apply through NRL.
Agency applicants that hold an inactive Non Resident Bail Agency license must submit reinstatement or reapplication via NRL application.
Applicants for life settlement broker or life settlement provider must have active producer license with life LOA.
If a business entity has ten (10) or fewer locations, they must choose the small portable electronics vendor LOA on the initial application.
If a business entity has eleven (11) or more locations, they must choose the large portable electronics vendor LOA on the initial application.
At least one (1) Designated Responsible Licensed Producer (DRLP) must be provided on the application, excluding adjusters and third party administrators (TPAs).
All DRLPs provided on the application must have an active license in Idaho and must cumulatively cover all of the requested LOAs, excluding adjusters, TPAs and portable electronics.
If Adjuster applicants provide DRLP information, all DRLPs entered must hold same license class as that being applied for by the business.
Applicants cannot renew or reinstate license day 1 through day 3 after expiration date (may apply on day 4).
If applicant responds "yes" to one of the background questions please submit supporting documents electronically via NIPR's Attachments Warehouse. The documents may also be submitted to the state via mail, email, or fax.
