Renewal Period

Business Rules

Applicant must be eighteen (18) years old or older as determined from the applicant's date of birth.

After late renewal period, applicant may reapply through Non-Resident Adjuster Licensing.

Licenses with a status reason of "revoked" or "suspended" cannot late renew electronically.

Applicant may not have more than one active resident license on the producer database.

If applicant has attempted to renew within the last thirty (30) days and has not received a response, please do not attempt to renew again. This will only delay processing.

Applicant must hold an active renewable license in Oregon.

Adjuster Designated Home State (ADHS) Rules:

  1. In order for an applicant to designate a home state during the renewal application, the applicant cannot have an active resident adjuster license, in any state, on the Producer Database (PDB).
  2. If the designated home state license is inactive at the time of renewal, applicant may select another non-resident state with an active adjuster license as the designated home state.
  3. If applicant holds an active producer (non-adjuster) resident license in a state that:
    1. licenses resident adjusters, and is designating an active non-resident adjuster license as their home state license, applicant will not be allowed to renew their Oregon license.
    2. does not license resident adjusters, and is designating an active non-resident adjuster license as their home state license, application will be deferred to the Oregon Insurance Division for review.
    3. does not license adjusters, and no active non-resident adjuster license (other than the application state license), applicant must use current active resident license to renew non-resident adjuster license. Applicant cannot renew Oregon license at this time. 
  4. If applicant holds only an active producer (non-adjuster) resident license in a state that:
    1. offers adjuster licensing, and is using current resident license to renew non-resident adjuster license, applicant will not be allowed to renew their Oregon license.
    2. does not offer adjuster licensing, and is using current resident license to renew non-resident adjuster license, applicant will not be allowed to renew their Oregon license.
  5. Applicant may not select Oregon as their ADHS while renewing their non-resident Oregon license.
  6. The new ADHS selected must have an active non-resident adjuster license on the PDB.
If applicant responds "yes" to one of the background questions please submit supporting documents electronically via NIPR's Attachments Warehouse. The documents may also be submitted to the state via mail, email, or fax. All other required documentation must be forwarded directly to the state.
