Res Producer/Producer Firm and Resident Surplus Lines Broker applicants with a status reason of Failure to Renew on the Producer Database (PDB) must reinstate license through Resident License (RL) application as long as current date is thirty-one (31) or more days and up to one (1) year past expiration date.

Licenses with status of Voluntary Surrender or Cancelled on the Producer Database (PDB) may not renew license. Applicant must use NIPR's Resident License (RL) application to reapply.

Applicant must be applying to renew all active lines held on license. No partial renewals are allowed.
- A Staff Adjuster is a person who investigates, negotiates, or settles workers' compensation claims, and is Employed by a registered Third-Party Administrator.
- A Company Adjuster is a person Employed by an authorized insurance company, and Investigates, negotiates, or settles workers' compensation claims.

Res Producer with Property and Casualty lines of authority and Resident Surplus Lines Broker applicants cannot renew licenses if applicant holds an active Company Adjuster, Staff Adjuster, Independent Adjuster or Public Adjuster license. Applicant must surrender Company Adjuster, Staff Adjuster, Independent Adjuster or Public Adjuster license directly to the state in order to renew license.

Designated Responsible Licensed Producer Requirements
- The licenses below require at least one (1) Designated Responsible Licensed Producer (DRLP) to be provided on the application. All DRLPs provided on application must be actively licensed as a resident or non-resident in Nevada and hold equivalent license class with lines of authority that the business will hold prior to renewing license. If more than one (1) DRLP is listed on the application, then DRLPs are allowed to cumulatively hold lines for the business entity. For example, business application is for Life and Health. If two DRLPs are submitted, it is acceptable for DRLP1 to actively hold Life and DRLP2 to actively hold Health lines and this will cumulatively both for the business entity. More DRLPs are accepted as long as each one holds at least one of the requested lines.

Res Surplus Lines Broker and Res Motor Club Agt/Agy do NOT require DRLPs. Data provided on the DRLP section of the application for these licenses will not be updated on the state license record by Nevada.

Reinstatements for Producers are done in the renewal application. If the license has a status reason of Failure to Renew- CE they will have to reinstate directly with the state up to a year after expiration.

- NIPR does not verify compliance with the states CE requirement prior to allowing submission of a renewal application, however compliance is required prior to the states approval of the request. You may select your resident state on the following link: Verify My CE to view your CE transcript and determine whether the state has updated your status to compliant in their system and on what date. It generally takes up to 72 hours from the compliance date for the status to be updated in our system.

Two Years
Submit an application along with a Letter of Clearance from your resident state and have fingerprints done
- A Letter of Clearance may be requested when the resident producer is leaving the state and wishes to be licensed in another state. Letter of Clearance, please submit the Clearance Letter Form DOC 323 by faxing to 775-687-0797.
