Renewal Period (Individual)

Business Rules (Individual)

Applicant cannot late renew an inactive license. Applicant must reinstate or reapply through Non-Resident License (NRL) Application.

Non-Resident Producer and Non-Resident Surplus Lines broker applicants with a status reason of failure to renew must reinstate license through NRL as long as current date is thirty-one (31) or more days and up to one (1) year past expiration date.

Affiliations with a begin date that is less than sixty (60) days prior to the expiration date of the license is not included on the renewal.

With the exception of 'other' lines, applicant must have an equivalent active resident license when applying for a non-resident license.

Applicant must have an equivalent license for the requested Lines of Authority in the requested state.

Applicant with an active Independent Adjuster, Public Adjuster, or Associate Adjuster license cannot renew a Non-Resident Producer license with Property or Casualty Lines of Authority or renew a Non-Resident Surplus Lines Broker license.

Applicant cannot renew a non-resident surplus lines broker license if an active independent adjuster, public adjuster, or associate adjuster license exists on Producer Database (PDB).

If applicant responds "yes" to one of the background questions please submit supporting documents electronically via NIPR's Attachments Warehouse. The documents may also be submitted to the state via mail, email, or fax.

At least one (1) Designated Responsible Licensed Producer must be provided on the application and have an active Resident or Non-Resident license in Nevada.

Applicant applying for a Resident business entity Adjuster license must list a Designated Responsible Licensed Producer that actively holds a Resident or Non-Resident Adjuster license in Nevada.

Applicant applying for Resident Motor Club Agency must list a Designated Responsible Licensed Producer that actively holds a Resident or Non-Resident Motor Club license in Nevada.

Applicant applying for Resident Surplus Lines Broker must list a Designated Responsible Licensed Producer that actively holds a Resident or Non-Resident Surplus Lines Broker license in Nevada.
