License Printing

New Mexico does not offer online license printing. Licensees must contact the state.

Renewal Period (Individual)

Broker and Surplus Lines Broker Licenses March 1st – April 30th May 1st – May 31st

Late renewal cycle for all license classes is an additional fifty percent (50%) of the original license fee, and lasts from May 1st through May 31st.

Business Rules (Individual)

The NIPR does not maintain or process course completion data.  Access to the renewal application is granted once the state electronically notifies the NIPR that you are CE compliant.  We are unable to override the status.  You may select your resident state name from the map on the following link: /map_continuing_education_requirements.htm  to view your CE transcript and determine whether the state has updated your status to compliant in their system and on what date.  It generally takes up to 72 hours from the compliance date for the status to be updated in our system.

Applicant must provide a valid business email address.

After May 31st, applicant must reinstate through NIPR’s Resident License Application.

Broker and Surplus Lines Broker applicants must be continued education (CE) compliant.

If applicant responds "yes" to one of the background questions please submit supporting documents electronically via NIPR's Attachments Warehouse. The documents may also be submitted to the state via mail, email, or fax. All other required documentation must be forwarded directly to the state.

At least one (1) Designated Responsible Licensed Producer must be provided on the application and have an active resident or non-resident license in New Mexico.

The DRLPs on the application must cumulatively cover all active lines of authority listed on the application. This excludes firm adjusters.
