Renewal Period (Individual)

Business Rules (Individual)

Applicant's name, birth date, Tax ID, license number, state of residence and National Producer Number (NPN) must match current Producer Database (PDB) record for resident state.

Applicant's mailing address must be either his or her residence address or a personal P.O. Box.

Applicant must provide a valid country code and business email.

Excess Lines reinstatements are allowed one day after the license expiration date and are available regardless if license is active or inactive through NIPR’s Non-Resident License (NRL) Application.

Agent reinstatements are allowed ninety-one (91) days after the license expiration date up to four (4) years after expiration date through NIPR's Non-Resident License (NRL) Application. Fees may vary depending on reinstatement period. See license fees for more information.

There must be no serious:

  • Regulatory Information Retrieval System (RIRS) actions for the applicant since last renewal.
  • 1033 actions for the applicant since last renewal.

If so, please contact the state for assistance.

If applicant responds "yes" to one of the background questions please submit supporting documents electronically via NIPR's Attachments Warehouse. The documents may also be submitted to the state via mail, email, or fax.

Business Rules (Business Entity)

Applicant must submit at least one Designated Responsible Licensed Producer.

At least one Designated Responsible Licensed Producers (DRLPs) must be listed on the application and have an active resident or non-resident license in Kansas. Lines of authority (LOAs) are based on the agent’s qualifications in Kansas.

Agency reinstatements are allowed one day after the license expiration date and are available regardless if license is active or inactive through NIPR’s Non-Resident License (NRL) Application.

If applicant responds "yes" to one of the background questions please submit supporting documents electronically via NIPR's Attachments Warehouse. The documents may also be submitted to the state via mail, email, or fax. All other required documentation must be forwarded directly to the state.
