Business Rules

Adjuster applicants that designated Arkansas as their home state must be CE compliant before renewing license.

Renewal for the crop adjuster license class not required if original license effective date is between August 1st and September 30th of the same year the renewal is due.

Adjuster Designated Home State (ADHS) Rules:

  • The ADHS selected must have an active non-resident adjuster license on the PDB.
  • In order for an applicant to designate a home state during the renewal application, the applicant must have an active non-resident adjuster license on the Producer Database (PDB) and no active resident adjuster license.
  • If designated home state license is inactive at the time of renewal and no active resident adjuster license exists, applicant may not select another state with an active adjuster license as the designated home state.  
  • If applicant holds an active insurance producer (non-adjuster) resident license in a state that licenses resident adjusters and is designating an active non-resident adjuster license as their home state license, the application will be rejected.
  • If applicant holds only an active non-resident adjuster license in a state that offers adjuster licensing, applicant must use current resident license to renew non-resident adjuster license and cannot designate a home state.
  • If applicant has an active non-resident adjuster license in a state that does not license adjusters, and no active non-resident adjuster license, applicant must use current active resident license to renew non-resident adjuster license.
  • Applicant may not change the ADHS within the renewal application. 
  • Applicant may not select Arkansas as adjuster designated home state while renewing their Non Resident Arkansas license.
    • Exception: Arkansas can be selected if already listed as current ADHS state on PDB.

If applicant responds "yes" to one of the background questions please submit supporting documents electronically via NIPR's Attachments Warehouse. The documents may also be submitted to the state via mail, email, or fax.
